Incredible rooftop views and helpful staff
I had a fantastic stay, especially enjoying breakfast on the rooftop terrace with its stunning views of the surrounding volcanoes. The room was quite comfortable and well-equipped, making it a relaxing haven after a day of exploring. The staff were always friendly and went above and beyond to assist with anything I needed. However, the morning noise from staff can be disruptive to those wanting to sleep in.

great views but minor noise issues
I appreciated the stunning views from the rooftop, especially while enjoying breakfast. The breakfast offered a delightful selection of fruits and pastries that made each morning special. The location is excellent, with easy access to local artisan markets and the main square. I also loved the charming colonial architecture that added to the overall experience.
There was some street noise at times, especially during the evening hours.

The location of El Carmen is fantastic, just steps away from Central Park. The rooftop terrace is stunning, especially during breakfast with a view of the volcanoes. The staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive, making me feel very welcome. The room is clean and stylish. The courtyard with its beautiful plants creates a peaceful atmosphere. However, the walls are thin, and noise can be disruptive at night. I heard conversations in the hall and sounds from neighboring rooms, which affected my sleep. Also, the bathroom had an unpleasant odor that needed addressing. If they could improve the sound insulation and the bathroom ventilation, it would really make the stay even better.

The location made it easy to explore nearby attractions like the Central Park and local churches, all just a short walk away. The hotel staff was attentive, accommodating early check-in and ensuring my room was ready ahead of schedule. However, the street noise and occasional disturbances could be a drawback for light sleepers like myself.

I enjoyed my time at the rooftop terrace. It served breakfast with nice views each morning. The staff made me feel welcomed throughout my stay. After checking in, I had a pleasant experience relaxing on the terrace and taking in the surroundings.
The room below the terrace was noisy each morning. I wished for more peace during breakfast time, but I still managed to get up early and enjoy the views.
